That’s why we offer a 12-month guarantee on all our hardy hedging plants.
If any of your plants fail within 12 months of delivery, we’ll replace them free of charge or issue a credit, as long as they’ve been planted and cared for under suitable conditions.
How to Keep Your Guarantee Valid
We want your hedge to get the best possible start. Please follow these simple steps to give your plants every chance to flourish:
1. Soil and Drainage
Check that your soil type is right for the plants you’ve chosen. Most hedging plants prefer well-drained soil that holds some moisture but doesn’t stay waterlogged. If your ground tends to be heavy or compacted, adding organic matter or grit can make all the difference.
2. Watering
Newly planted hedges need regular watering, especially through their first spring and summer.
- Water thoroughly after planting and continue to water during dry spells.
- Be careful not to overwater — roots need air as well as moisture.
3. Planting and Position
Plant your hedge at the correct depth and spacing, and choose a position that suits the variety — some prefer full sun, others are happier in partial shade.
4. Ongoing Care
Keep the base of your hedge free from weeds, feed as recommended, and protect young plants from rabbits, deer, or garden tools. A light trim once established will help them grow dense and healthy.

Our guarantee doesn’t cover losses due to neglect, drought, flooding, unsuitable soil, or issues beyond our control such as pests, disease, or extreme weather.
