Frequently Asked Questions

Where are your plants grown?

All our plants are 100% British-grown at our nursery in Oxfordshire. We do not import from Europe, ensuring every plant is well adapted to the UK climate and growing conditions.

What areas do you deliver to?

We currently deliver to UK Mainland only using a tracked pallet delivery service. Each order is carefully wrapped, secured, and shipped directly from our nursery.

How long will delivery take?

We typically dispatch orders within 2 working days, depending on stock levels and weather conditions. You’ll receive tracking details once your pallet leaves the nursery.

How will my plants arrive?

Your hedging will arrive on a pallet, securely strapped and wrapped for protection. Depending on your order, plants may arrive in hedgebags, troughs, or pots. Delivery is kerbside only, so please ensure access for a pallet truck.

Can I choose a delivery date?

We’ll do our best to accommodate requests, just let us know before checkout or email us after placing your order. While exact dates depend on courier schedules, we’ll confirm your estimated delivery window.

What are the benefits of instant trough-grown hedging?

Instant trough-grown hedging offers immediate privacy, structure, and impact from the moment it’s planted. Because the hedges are already mature and grown in troughs, they establish quickly, can be planted year-round, and experience minimal transplant shock.

They’re ideal for creating an instant boundary, reducing noise, or achieving a well-finished look without the long wait of traditional hedge planting.

Do you offer free delivery?

Yes — we offer free delivery on orders over £350.00 (inc. VAT) to mainland UK. Smaller orders under £350 incur a £75.00 (inc. VAT) delivery charge. For remote or offshore areas, please contact us for a quotation.

Can I collect my order?

Absolutely. You’re welcome to collect your plants directly from our Oxfordshire nursery by prior arrangement. We’ll let you know when your order is ready for collection.

Do your plants come with a guarantee?

Yes — all our plants come with a 12-month guarantee. If, despite proper planting and care, any plants fail to establish within 12 months, we’ll review the situation and, where appropriate, offer a replacement or credit.

How should I care for my new hedging plants?

Regular watering is essential during the first growing season. Keep the soil evenly moist (but not waterlogged), and water deeply during dry or hot weather to help roots establish. Adding a mulch layer can help retain moisture and suppress weeds.

What type of soil is best for hedging plants?

Most hedging plants prefer moist, well-drained soil. If your soil is heavy clay or very sandy, improve it with compost or organic matter before planting to create ideal growing conditions.

Do you supply to landscapers and garden designers?

Yes — we regularly supply landscapers, garden designers, and commercial clients nationwide. Please contact us to discuss trade pricing or large project requirements.

When is the best time to plant a hedge?

Hedging can be planted throughout most of the year, especially if it’s trough-grown. However, autumn and spring are often the best times, as the soil is naturally moist and temperatures are moderate.

Can I get advice on choosing the right hedge?

Of course! Our knowledgeable team is always happy to offer free expert advice to help you choose the best species and size for your garden, soil type, and goals.
